Abstract :
This paper investigates a new concept of active cell for Fresnel reflector using Phase Locked Loop (PLL) based phase shifter. PLL architecture and phase tuning simulation results obtained with a 130nm CMOS technology are presented. Preliminary simulations of active unit cell are provided to validate the concept. Radiation pattern and E-field phase of unit cell including the influence of bonding and package show that 45° phase shift can be reached.
