Abstract :
In this paper, we present a CPW-fed UWB antenna designed for body-area network applications. The antenna has been characterized in free space and, through simulations, in the vicinity of a human body. The return loss and radiation pattern indicate favorable behavior within the 3.1 GHz - 10.6 GHz frequency range. Several different on-body scenarios are simulated, analyzed and compared.
