Abstract :
Metasurfaces are thin metamaterial layers characterized by unusual reflection properties of plane waves and/or dispersion properties of surface/guided wave. Metasurfaces can be described through a surface impedance boundary condition; the impedance, possibly tensorial, can vary from place to place (by design) on the surface. We introduce a full-wave method, based on an integral equation formulation, to analyze tensorial metasurfaces with anisotropic behavior. Strategies for a numerical solution of the problem are investigated, with special attention to continuity and regularity issues which play a crucial role.
