Abstract :
A multi-polarization spiral antenna including a transforming element from coaxial cable is presented in this paper. The spiral antenna radiates circularly and linearly polarized waves simultaneously at three bands. Moreover, the antenna does not need an impedance converter and balun, even though it is fed by using a coaxial cable. In this paper, the return-loss characteristics and radiation patterns of the antenna are delineated for showing that the antenna not only can be fed directly by a coaxial cable without any baluns and impedance converters but also can be used in a GPS band as well as mobile bands.
