Message from the General Chair

The 2013 9th International Symposium on Mechatronics and its Applications (ISMA) is taking place in the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, during April 9-11, 2013. The themes of this symposium are Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Systems, Automation, and Education. This symposium is the ninth of a series of symposia focusing on theoretical and practical aspects of Mechatronics and its applications. ISMA accepts applied, industrial, and original scientific contribution in areas related to mechatronics such as robotics, autonomous systems technologies, and computer integrated manufacturing systems. ISMA 2013 has received papers in its five tracks that cover the various aspects of mechatronics and its applications. Each of these papers was sent to at least two expert reviewers. Out of the 73 received papers, only 34 papers are included in the printed symposium proceedings and are presented in the seven technical sessions of this symposium.
