Abstract :
Healthcare systems need to share information within and across boundaries in order to provide better care to the patients. HL7 specification helps us settle this problem. It is a standard for exchange of medical electronic data. HL7 consists of many different parts - among which the most important one is HL7 RIM. But HL7 RIM only provides us a basic frame, further efforts must be made to develop it according with our own demands. Domain Message Information Model (DMIM) is derived from RIM and Refined Message Information Models (RMIM) is derived from DMIM. Mapping of HL7 specification can help us apply the standard into practice. In our country, usingHL7 can make our task easier, but, it´s still full of challenge. In this paper, we introduce the HL7, mapping of HL7 and discuss the transmission of dynamic image in HL7 system.
