Abstract :
Purpose of ESA: “To provide for and promote, for exclusively peaceful purposes, cooperation among European states in space research and technology and their space applications.” • Intergovernmental organisation with 20 Member States: 18 EU states (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland (since Sep.2012), Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom) plus Norway and Switzerland.
