  • Abstract
    The annual fluorography chest screening profoundly contributes to the total radiation dose delivered to the patient. The application of additional image contrast improving methods (high tube potential technique, anti-scatter grid method) increases the radiation dose to several times. X-ray image digital processing with special software is proposed as alternative method for visual contrast improvement to minimize the patient dose.
