  • Abstract
    In this paper, we propose an image haptization method based on emotional effects of color. The method converts the color information of the image into the haptic parameters which are required in the generation of the haptic feedback based on soft-hard and dynamic-passive emotional effects of color. The proposed method is implemented in an image haptization system consisting of a PC, a display and a haptic device which provides users with touch sensations of images. The force is calculated with the converted haptic parameters in a spring/damper model and rendered with the haptic device. Evaluation experiments show that the proposed method could increase the user´s interests of the image contents.
