A design of an experiencial learning environment to promote investment among risk averse

Economies of the world are growing faster than ever. The Asian countries are also in a major play with the economic giants in the world. Stock Exchange is a key component of a country´s economy. In this research we mainly focus on promoting investment of market shares. Sri Lanka being a small island in Asia seems to show a strong growth rate in the 21st Century. And its main stock exchange, the Colombo Stock Exchange was the best performing stock exchange in the world for the year ended in 2010. But the Sri Lankan society being a risk averse society by its culture, people are reluctant to invest shares due to the risk. This is mainly because of their unawareness of how to engage in stock trading and its benefits. In this research we try to identify components of the ideal learning environment to promote investment in shares, among the risk averse society of Sri Lanka. As a result a gaming learning module components was designed addressing the identified issues of e-learning.
