Abstract :
This paper presents some essays and statistical analysis performed on hall sensors with the purpose to apply them as transducers to smart meters. In this way, the essays realized were done in order to verify the precision rate of voltages and currents measured in a frequency range. Consequently, the reliability of these hall sensors were computed in order to guarantee harmonic distortion measurements (to voltage and/or current). It is worth mentioned that these hall sensors were employed to measure from fundamental to the 25th harmonic order. This range of harmonic components are used due to the Brazilian standard namely, PRODIST. Moreover, it is important to highlight that these essays were done in order to use the smart meter as an harmonic analyzer, i.e., in the context of power quality.
