            Abstract : 
This paper presents an innovative system (hardware and software) that incorporates the main functions typically found alone in SCADA, oscillography and advanced metering infrastructure systems. The developed system maintains all the characteristics of a SCADA system, suitable for the operation of a distributed generation, while it incorporates oscillography features and power quality measurements. The functions of oscillography and power quality measurements are shared by both smart grid and distributed generation owner on a bilateral basis. The developed system has a low cost implementation.
