Abstract
Power Electric System is always in transformation and to follow this modifications protective devices needs of upload these settings. Tradicional protection techniques require new coordination study and manual adjustment on the relays. This paper present an adaptive protection method to promotes a better performance of power protection system. Using this technique was obtained a significant reduction on operation time of overcurrent relays. Relay model and adaptive protection system has been simulated in RTDS®.
