Abstract :
This paper proposes a new method for online monitoring of high voltage condensive bushings in real-time. The system was tested on a prototype for 10 kVRMS and was installed on a 500 kV transformer at the Sao Luis II substation, operated by ELETRONORTE, located at the northeastern Brazil. Also, tests concerning the use of a conventional method for bushing monitoring were carried out in order to validate techniques previously described in literature.
