  • Abstract
    Communication security is critical in the marine environment as information may be transmitted over large open areas like high seas. In this letter, an analysis is conducted on the probability of secrecy capacity for wireless communications over the Rician fading channels. In particular, a closed-form expression for the probability of strictly positive secrecy capacity is derived. The result is applicable to the scenarios of Rayleigh/Rayleigh, Rician/Rayleigh, Rayleigh/Rician, and Rician/Rician.
