Abstract :
We demonstrate here that an optical frequency comb is a very precise tool for measuring frequencies of light. It plays a role as a new primary standard of length. Its accuracy is transferred from the accuracy of the Cs standard which is a primary standard of time. The measurement uncertainty of the laser frequency measurement using beat frequency measuring technique in the order of 10-12 can be achieved.
