Abstract :
This paper presents a wideband monopole with built-in interdigital capacitor and interdigital capacitive structure on both sides of feed. The design is based on resonant characteristics of coplanar waveguide (CPW) interdigital capacitive resonators. The fabricated antenna has been operated from 1.83 GHz to 8.8 GHz with return loss S11 <; -10 dB. The experimental results of the fabricated antenna agree very well with simulation expectations using IE3D package. The proposed antenna has good performances, which can be used in PCS1900, 3G, LTE, WiMAX, and WLAN.
