Abstract :
Perovskite alumina boehmite sol was prepared by sol gel method. Commercial La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ (LSCF) type of perovskite powder was doped in aluminum secondary butoxide precursor. The effect of binder addition, concentration of perovskite and acidity of peptization agent were carried out. The morphology characteristic of perovskite alumina gel was analyzed using ESEM (Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy) analysis. The performance of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and gelatin as a binder was studied. SEM morphology showed that the addition of PEG produce the homogeneous microstucture of gel. At high concentration of acid, the morphology of gel is uniform. The morphology became more irregular as the concentration of perovskite is increased.
