Abstract :
Based on analyzing the shaftless multiple unit web press experiment platform, a precise color-alignment mathematical model was established in order to characterize register system and control it. A register control simulation system was constructed in MATLAB which actuator was a permanent magnet synchronous motor. Considering the nonlinear of servo motor, a sliding mode variable structure controller was designed. The system with different error input signal was simulated and the results proposed sliding mode control strategy can improve the robustness of the register control system. Multi-axis registering operation of web press has been discussed and simulated, which made the simulation model be more close to the real web register system. A more precise and convenient simulation platform for bringing the advance control strategy to register system of web press was built.
