Abstract :
This paper presents the development and design of a fractional PI controller for a first order system with delay. The proposed fractional controller is contrasted with two different design techniques of integer controllers, one of them based on the SIMC technique and the other one on the classic design of frequency response. Performing a discrete implementation fractional controller and the results show the fractional PI controller robustness against other design techniques.
