Abstract :
In this paper, a tuning method of fractional order Proportional Integral Differential (FOPID) controller for first order plus time delay system is discussed. The systematic design schemes of FOPID controllers for first order plus time delay system are also presented. The main contents include the design of controller and simulation for first order plus time delay system. The parameters´ solution of the FOPID controller designed by the proposed tuning method can improve the performance and robustness of the first order plus time delay system. The simulation results also reveal that both FOPID controller and FOPI controller work effectively. Furthermore, following the proposed systematic design schemes, the FOPID controller outperforms the FOPI controller.
