Abstract :
The problem of ventilators out of alignment or fault has been talked a lot in recent day. The basic solution has been described in this paper. To achieve comprehensive testing of ventilator an initiative lung simulator has been introduced here. A platform which is based on linear motor and ARMlm3s1138 processor has been build to solve this question. Some basic breath waveforms could be simulated by setting parameters on motion controller such as Respiratory rate, Ispiratory time, Tidal volume and Respiratory count. This simulator could be used to test and analyze whether a ventilator is reliable or not. The piston of anesthesia machine bellow gasbag is controlled to do reciprocating movement by linear motor, which is the basic principle of initiative lung simulator. After test, some basic breath state wave could be simulated by the lung simulator accurately.
