Abstract :
In this paper, a capacitively coupled 1-level H-tree clock distribution network (CC-CDN) is described. A novel delay line which is less variant to process is employed as the receiver for the proposed clock distribution. The clock skew is reduced by a factor of 2 by employing the proposed skew correction technique. The overall power consumption of the circuit is 1.42mW which is 77.28% less than the power consumption of a current mode- clock distribution network(CM-CDN) in [1]. The duty cycle variation of the clock signals at the output of the proposed H-tree is 42.6% less than in the CM-CDN.
