Abstract
This paper presents the design of a wideband dumbbell-shaped dipole quasi-fractal antenna with a partial ground plane under the feed point. Several sizes of the partial ground plane were simulated and compared. The antenna has good impedance and radiation characteristics for frequencies from 450 MHz to 1725 MHz. The antenna is suitable for HDTV reception and other applications within its operating bandwidth.
