Abstract :
A new family of single-stage high boost voltage inverters based on transformer is proposed in this paper. By replacing one of the two inductors in the quasi-Z-source inverter with two-winding transformer, the proposed inverter produces a very high boost voltage gain. In comparison to the conventional trans-quasi-Z-source inverter, the proposed inverter has a higher boost voltage gain with smaller shoot-through duty cycle. This paper presents the operating principles and analysis. To verify the performance of the proposed inverter, simulation and experimental results are shown using both simple and constant boost control methods.
