Abstract :
A double stator type axial magnetically levitated motor that has tilt motion control was proposed. An FEM analysis clarified that the proposed motor can control translation motion, inclination motion, and rotational motion independently. A simple experimental setup was fabricated based on FEM in order to clarify the control performance of the proposed motor and its independent control of translation and inclination motion. Results of impulse responses showed good levitation characteristics and independent motion control performance.
