Abstract
Delay-partitioning method and convex combination technique are integrated used to improve the stability analysis of time-varying systems, while much free weighting matrices are introduced in the derivation of existing results, which inevitably increase the computational burden, especially, when the numbers of delay-partitioning segments are larger. This paper suggests a refined delay-partitioning approach to improve computational efficiency, which achieves the identical maximum allowable delay bounds but with much less numbers of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and LMI scalar decision variables.
