Abstract :
Motivated by the biomedical application of deep brain stimulation (DBS) for the treatment of Parkinson´s disease, this work proposes an identification scheme of a firstorder Hammerstein system with a strongly increasing nonlinear static function and its application to identify a simple neural mass model used in the DBS. The purpose is to make easier the choice of the stimulation parameters such as intensity, duration and frequency in the Parkinson´s disease treatment for a particular patient.
