Abstract :
This paper focuses on the future PET (Plug-in Electric taxi) and studies the charging behavior of a PET. An optimal charging strategy is proposed for an individual PET in order to minimize its charging cost in face of time-varying electricity price. The proposed strategy involves a series of price thresholds, which can be obtained by backward induction via comparing the estimation of future cost and current cost. Numerical experimental results reveal that our strategy will reduce the charging cost to a large extent in various situations.
