Abstract
Recent advances in leaky-wave antennas are reviewed, with special emphasis on achieving radiation at broadside and endfire (often challenging for leaky-wave antennas). The interesting optical phenomenon known as directive beaming from periodic plasmonic structures is also discussed and related to leaky-wave antennas.
