Abstract :
In this paper, a scheduling method for optimal charging/discharging of central stationary battery storage units in medium-voltage distribution network is proposed. The storage units are used for both peak cutting and diminishing of the energy not supplied in distribution network. Moreover, the uncertainty impact of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) on the optimal scheduling is considered. The uncertainty of PEVs is modeled by fuzzy set concepts. The uncoordinated PEVs are connected to the network in grid-to-vehicle (G2V) or vehicle-togrid (V2G) operating modes. Tabu Search (TS) algorithm is implemented for optimal scheduling. The numerical studies on a typical distribution network shows the ability of the proposed method and uncertainty impacts of PEVs on optimal scheduling of battery storage units.
