Abstract
This paper presents a fuzzy multicriteria approach for evaluating the sustainability performance of semiconductor companies. Interval-valued based intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are used for representing the subjective and imprecise assessments of the decision maker in evaluating the relative importance of the criteria and the performance of individual companies. The concept of ideal solutions is applied for calculating the overall performance index for each company across all the criteria so that the complex and unreliable process of comparing and ranking fuzzy utilities is avoided. An example is presented to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed fuzzy multicriteria approach for evaluating the sustainability performance of semiconductor companies in the real world.
