Abstract :
This paper is written for developing and applying boiler combustion air control algorithm of coal-fired power plant by the steps of design, coding, tests and application to power plant. The control algorithm was designed in the shape of cascade and feed forward control for two parts of air master and the forced draft fan pitch blade by standard function blocks. The control algorithm was coded to the control programs of distributed control systems. The simulator for coal-fired power plant was used in the test step. The automatic, sequence and emergency stop control tests were performed successfully by the unit equipment tests and the total test. After all distributed control systems with control algorithms had been installed in power plant and many tests which include all tests performed in simulator were completed successfully in actual power plant, Power plant is being operated commercially.
