Abstract :
This paper described the working principle of electronic balance by proposing a MSP430-based design of the strain gauge electronic balance. By introducing the passive filter network circuit to process the sensor output signal and adopting high-precision 24 A/D converter chip CS5532 to convert collected weighing data, the reliability of the input signals to be processed is increased. The combination of sliding average method and lowpass filtering algorithm suppresses interfering signals effectively. Besides, zero tracking technique eliminates zero drift significantly. The experimental results verify that the proposed electronic balance guarantees the stability, accuracy, and realizes 200g\´s maximum range with 1mg resolution. In addition, tests show that the balance conforms to the Chinese National Standard "JJG 1036-2008 Verification Regulation for Electronic Balance".
