Abstract
This paper presents an online adaptive technique for rejecting “image” frequency band interference in quadrature wireless receivers, which is caused by Inphase/Quadrature (I/Q) mismatch. Using recursive adaptation, the online adaptive algorithm seeks to restore the circularity property of the baseband signal, in order to achieve I/Q equalization. During the adaptation process, time-varying weight update is automatically generated at each iteration to achieve improved interference suppression performance and convergence behavior. Computer simulations are performed in MATLAB to validate the effectiveness of the proposed technique. The simulation results confirm that, the presented techniques exhibit satisfactory interference suppression performance and superior convergence property.
