Abstract :
The comfort level in the human being is an aspect that needs to be maximized, for this reason a range of factors, including stress state that can affect the comfort perception of the individual should be studied. The coefficient of friction (COF) is a tribological parameter that must be included in numerical models representing the interaction between the skin that cover the stump and the socket material (polypropylene). The aim of this study is to determine if the roughness of the socket surface may affect the COF and consequently the stress state over the stump.
