Gesture-assisted remote control for media content sharing and distribution in home networks

This paper designs a new gesture-assisted remote control approach for media content sharing and distribution among UPnP-based devices in home networks. Users can easily indicate any target devices with NFC functions and instruct them to push or pull media content by a friendly operational method rather than traditional menu-style browsing methods that ordinary devices can only support. Demonstration shows that this design convenient and intuitive usages with better user experience for AV entertainment in home networks.
