Abstract :
Design of an unconnected pair of planar helices with straight edge connections is reported. The feed provides equal magnitude and phase signals to the planar helices to excite the required symmetric mode. S-parameters for the entire structure and phase velocity are presented. Compared to a single planar helix, this structure provides a larger beam tunnel.
