Abstract :
The possibility of effective frequency multiplication in a relativistic gyro-klystron is discussed. The proposed scheme key feature is that while the input cavity modulates the electron beam at fundamental harmonic the excitation of the output cavity can be easily switched by simple change of electron beam parameters between fundamental harmonic and third harmonic. First experimental results confirm the idea.
