Abstract :
An optimized dispersion shifted fiber with simple and specific fiber profile is introduced. According to the results of dispersion, attenuation, mode field diameter, microbending loss, splice loss for such fibers are presented and compared to the alternate designs. This detailed design and outputs helps an individual to understand the principles of dispersion shifting and profile optimizing.
