  • Abstract
Novel Coplanar waveguide fed Monopole Fractal antenna design is proposed which is suitable for multiband applications. The Fractal heptagonal concentric array antenna provides the desired miniaturization and wide band behaviour simultaneously. Coplanar waveguide is used for impedance matching in wide frequency range. Proposed antenna is fabricated on Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 substrate. Antenna has center frequency of 10 GHz with a bandwidth of 10.3 GHz. It has low profile, physical compactness, optimum impedance matching, high gain, low VSWR values and omni directional radiation pattern. Proposed antenna can be used in various wideband wireless systems.
