Abstract

Business Intelligence (BI) with On line Analytical Processing (OLAP) plays an important role in this information age. As one of the powerful BI tools, OLAP proves to bring the organization into the powerful performance and high quality of data. The objectives of this research are to design and compare the OLAP solutions that focused on the grocery business as applied in the case study. Based on the analysis, there are three solutions are designed: SQL + Excel, OLAP + Excel, and OLAP + Proclarity. The finding reveals that OLAP + Proclarity is the most flexible and user friendly solution. In conclusion, OLAP + Proclarity is at once the most powerful and accurate solution in analyzing few or large amount of data.
