  • Abstract
    It is a need of the time to integrate the various advantageous technologies for effective use of electric drives. In this paper, analysis of photovoltaic array supplied sensorless indirect vector controlled induction motor drive without a speed sensor is presented. Stator current based Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) for speed estimation is employed for a close loop speed control operation. Speed adaptation is performed by the help of fixed gain proportional-integral controller and fuzzy logic controller. Simulation model is developed for each component of the system in MATLAB environment. The drive system is investigated for different operating conditions.
