Abstract :
The application of Gravitational Search Algorithm a heuristic optimization approach for solution of economic load dispatch is presented here. GSA optimization approach is inspired by Newtonian gravity and law of motion. The efficacy and robustness of the GSA approach is analyzed on four different standard test cases. Comparison of computational results is made with the recent available methods. The computational results confirm superiority, faster convergence and adeptness of the algorithm.
