Abstract :
Small size antennas integrated on the circuit board is commonly used in communication applications. In this paper a spiral-shaped dual band antenna is proposed, which consists of five linear sections. These linear sections are at a right angle connection between two adjacent sections, and the innermost section is enclosed by the other sections. The proposed antenna is printed on FR4-epoxy substrate of thickness 1.6mm and dielectric constant 4.4. The antenna is designed for different substrate dimensions. The CAD tool used is HFSS (Ansoft software). The antenna having better Return loss or VSWR is fabricated and compared with the simulation.
