Abstract :
In this paper, the design of a microstrip patch antenna is reported which can be operated at 1.8 GHz and 1.9 GHz frequencies. A thin microstrip antenna is excited by a coaxial SMA connector to produce central frequency of 1.8 GHz and 1.9 GHz and the correct feed position is determined for impedance matching. Then the feed position is altered to get a reconfigurable antenna that gives either 1.8 GHz or 1.9 GHz at a time. The simulated results using IE3D software are supported by measurement.
