Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are typically designed to have their individual nodes collaborate to achieve some overall system goals. System goals can be as simple as “sound an alarm whenever any node detects a measured physical phenomenon exceeding a predetermined threshold”, or as complex as a combination of multiple events that are related to one another in a Boolean relationship. In this paper we present a novel and simple scripting language that allows the system designer to specify system goals of unlimited complexity. We also present a parser that reads and interprets the system goal for the consumption of the WSN nodes at run time.
