Abstract :
A high-performance and low-power tuner SoC for mobile ISDB-Tsb/Tmm/T and DVB-T is presented. New phase correction circuits and digital gain control technique are introduced into LNA for precisely adjusting both gain step and phase shift over a wide dynamic range, resulting in a stable reception of 64QAM OFDM signals in mobile radio environment. In addition, a low-power harmonic rejection mixer with digital calibration is also implemented to suppress 3rd and 5th harmonics. The fabricated SoC tuner achieves an NF of 2.0dB at UHF band and the total power consumption of 53mW and 128mW at 1.15V supply voltage with digital baseband for ISDB-T 1 segment and 12 seg ments respectively.
