Abstract
The battery charger and the high step-up isolated DC-DC converter can be combined in a single unit with the three-port converter topology. In the proposed converter, renewable energy sources, the battery and high voltage output are combined together, and renewable energy sources and battery are low voltage parts isolated with high voltage output. In order to control energy transfer path, three working modes are introduced. PWM and phase-shifted control are employed to transfer energy to high voltage output or battery. A 250W prototype is built. Effectiveness of the proposed topology is verified by experimental results.
