Abstract :
Nowadays embedded systems are becoming more and more complex and are increasingly used in electronic devices. Especially in applications where systems are difficult to access, additional requirements concerning flexibility, manageability and efficiency become increasingly higher in order to attain self-organizing and fully monitorable systems. In this regard, dynamic reconfigurable Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) are frequently targeted in embedded system applications. Dynamic Reconfiguration is a technique which allows changing parts of the FPGA configuration at runtime while the rest of the FPGA is not affected and maintains its functionality. In light of this, the target of this paper is the design and implementation of an internet-controlled dynamic reconfigurable FPGA system for cognitive systems. Thereby, the key aspect of this paper is to focus on using remote reconfigurable systems for controlling embedded systems which are difficult to access.
